Orzonno: Custom E-commerce, From Storefront to Fulfilment
Orzonno needed a platform that could sell its own products alongside a large dropship catalogue, accept cash-on-delivery orders, and support a 25-day delivery guarantee. We designed and built the complete system: a responsive storefront, an admin CMS, and the API connecting shopping with day-to-day operations. Customers can browse products and place verified orders, while the team manages content, procurement, fulfilment, and delivery claims behind the scenes.

The story
How the engagement ran.
Problem
The two sides of the catalogue worked differently. Own-stock products could arrive within days, while sourced products required a longer procurement and delivery process. Customers needed to understand those differences before ordering.
Cash on delivery introduced another requirement. With no advance payment, checkout needed a way to verify the customer’s phone number without adding unnecessary steps.
The delivery guarantee also needed operational support. The team had to track deadlines, identify orders approaching the limit, and manage claims when a delivery missed the promised window. Alongside this, non-technical staff needed control over the storefront without relying on a developer for routine updates.

Approach
We connected the customer experience and the operational workflow through a shared API. The storefront explains what customers can expect, the CMS gives staff control over the business, and the backend applies the rules that keep orders moving correctly.
A storefront built for a mixed catalogue
We created a responsive shopping experience with category navigation, sortable and filterable product grids, quick views, and product pages with selectable variants.
Delivery estimates appear alongside products so customers can distinguish between ready-stock and sourced items.
Cash-on-delivery terms and the delivery guarantee remain visible throughout the shopping journey. The experience extends across desktop and mobile, including product discovery, cart management, checkout, and customer accounts.
Verified checkout with server-side pricing
Phone OTP verification is part of checkout, confirming access to the number provided before an order is submitted. Customers can order as guests or create an account to view their order history.
The API recalculates order pricing on the server rather than accepting totals from the browser. This keeps order values under backend control and prevents changes to client-side prices from determining the final amount.
Content control without code changes
The homepage is assembled from CMS-managed sections, including banners, featured products, deals, and category layouts.
Staff can reorder sections and update campaign content without editing code or redeploying the storefront. A revalidation webhook refreshes cached storefront content after CMS updates.
We also built dedicated campaign landing pages with focused product content, inline ordering, and optional add-on products, giving the business a separate purchase journey for paid traffic.

Procurement connected to fulfilment
The operations backend tracks sourced products through procurement and warehouse receipt. Orders containing dropship items cannot progress to shipping until the required items have been received.
This gives staff a defined workflow for a mixed catalogue and prevents an order from being marked ready while products are still being sourced.
A delivery promise the team can track
A deadline board tracks each order against the 25-day delivery window, helping staff identify approaching deadlines and overdue deliveries.
Guarantee-claim tracking gives the team a place to manage compensation when the promise is missed. The customer-facing guarantee is supported by an operational process within the platform.
Outcome
The completed build brings shopping, content management, and fulfilment into one connected platform.
Customers can browse the catalogue, see delivery expectations, and place phone-verified orders. Staff can update the storefront, manage procurement, follow delivery deadlines, and track guarantee claims through the admin system.
The platform gives Orzonno the foundation to launch and operate its cash-on-delivery model. Conversion, revenue, and operational performance will need to be measured after launch.
